The engine is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, based on the current 2.7-liter that serves across the Ford and Lincoln lineup. With 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque, it’s the most powerful Lincoln ever.

Also, I just realized you can’t use italics in the post title. What a bummer.

I was informed there would be a petting Zoo somewhere around here. I know my rights.

If you knew your rights, you’d know you have none.

What is your point? The editor probably wrote that it wasn't from Lincoln.

What editor? Who? What are you talking about?
Follow the link. It was an argument between me and MontegoMan and he was adamant that Lincoln would put the new TT V6 in the MKZ, because they couldn’t care less about its performance.
I argued that they absolutely would.

I’m confused I just read an article from autoblog. They talked about the performance of the Lincoln and how great it was. But that’s not what Lincoln is focusing on. If it was wouldn’t they make the 400hp car a “v series” instead of just a higher trim level?

Do you mean Cadillac not Lincoln?

You can’t italicize post titles with HTML anymore, but you can use Ctrl+I on selected text instead. You’re still SOL on mobile, though.

V-series?
Are you fucking trolling me right now? Doesn’t matter. MontegoMan said they wouldn’t give the MKZ the TT-V6 because Lincoln isn’t going after that kind of market with that kind power.
Lincoln just gave the MKZ that TT-V6. You’re just over complicating things for reasons that are beyond me.

I’m not trolling. If Lincoln cared about the 400hp they would create a sub category “v series” like Cadillac has done. Monegoman is still right from what I saw. Lincoln doesn’t care about performance right now. That’s why they are marketing “quiet luxury.”

They wouldn’t be offering the rear differential from a Focus RS as an option on this trim level if they didn’t care about performance.
Creating an alphanumeric sub-brand isn’t the only indication of focusing on performance and I think it’s close minded to think that way.
